My favorite NYFW Spring '16 Collection

Rodarte Spring 2016 Collection
I wanted to give you guys some inspiration for the upcoming spring season by talking about some of the trends for spring. Now the fashion world is always one season ahead and this was "last" season's collections for the upcoming spring/summer season. Rodarte showcased these designs at New York Fashion Week in 2015. These sisters never cease to amaze me on their incredible designs. They have many intriguing qualities in each collection.  One of these reasons I fell in love with this collection was that the sisters drew ideas from many beloved poets. Their inspirations were Emily Dickinson, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, & the "romantic interpretation of what a poet would mean in our world" according to Kate Mulleavy. This really stuck with me because I love poetry and take inspiration from that as well. Major seventies rock glam is what I took from this collection. I love the t-strap sandals, the fly away scarves, patterned tights, & sequins. These designs are so captivating & present important trends from the seventies. These sisters definitely succeeded on pleasing everyone's taste. I also can imagine Stevie Nicks wearing these pieces back in the seventies and even today. This was my favorite collection and one of my favorite designers to see at New York Fashion Week. Hopefully you guys take away some ideas for future fashion forward outfits for the spring!!
