Hint of the West

This past week has been some of the best weather since winter started. I've especially enjoyed it because I`m not sweating nor shivering while shooting these pictures! I really like this outfit because of the western influence. Having western inspired pieces is something I've seen a lot in the past couple months. From editorials/spreads in magazines to the runways. This is my take on these popular trends. I thought this bolo tie would really communicate what I'm trying to achieve with this look. I am a sucker for turtlenecks, so I couldn't resist adding this gray knit one in my outfit. This quirky patterned flannel is really cool. I found this in my grandmother's closet a couple of years ago & its been a trusty piece in my wardrobe. Now you can easily find items that resemble these in your closet. Sticking to at least one inspired piece will go a long way when you decide on replicating this trend. The most important thing is to not go overboard with this trend. Sticking to a causal outfit like mine or having one major piece is the way to go. Have a great weekend!!!
