Summer Playlist
Music has always been a big chunk of my life. My father is an extremely talented percussionist, who has toured the U.S. and now resides at the nearby middle school as a band teacher. My two sisters were and still are involved with music. I have been a clarinet player since elementary school. So safe to say I have grown up with a music influenced background.
Ever since I can remember, I would jam with my mom to "the Oldies". Her favorite band is Journey and it soon became my favorite. I continue to jam out to Journey, but I have also grown to love Classic Rock and the Oldies. Something about this genre of music makes me feel safe and happy. I don't really listen to current music so I could not tell you about the biggest pop star as of right now. I do occasionally listen to the Top 40 but it is rare haha.
Here's a list of my summer playlist, hope you enjoy your jam session:
- "Dust In The Wind" by Kansas
- "Summer of '69" by Bryan Adams
- "Malibu" by Miley Cyrus *yes a current pop song but it's actually a really good tune*
- "Ways To Go" by Grouplove
- "Born On The Bayou" by Creedence Clearwater Revival *kudos to my dad, this is his favorite band*
- "The Weight" by The Band *also covered by Jason Manns, which happens to be my favorite arrangement*
A little look into my vast collection of CD'S. I love music and it's characteristic of making people experience emotion. Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week!
